Foreign investors

Confirm the offer before you model it

Incentives for foreign investors are published by the Tanzania Investment Centre, and by the Export Processing Zones Authority when the project sits in a licensed zone. This page does not copy those schedules. Treat a relief as real only after the issuing authority confirms it for your certificate.

What to ask the authority

  1. 1 Certificate Which incentive is tied to a TIC certificate, and which is available without one.
  2. 2 Imports Whether capital goods receive duty relief, and for how long.
  3. 3 Strategic sectors Whether your sector is on the current priority list.
